What is the different between cryptocurrency and digital currency?

A digital currency is a virtual currency. It is a type of unregulated, digital money, which is issued and usually controlled by its developers, and used and accepted among the member of a specific virtual community. It is a medium of exchange that operates like a currency in dome environments. But it doesn’t have all the attributes of real currency, like real paper money or coins.

A cryptocurrency is currency based on certain principles of cryptography. It is a type of digital token that relies on these principles to chain together digital signatures of token transfers. It is based on a peer-to-peer networkand it is decentralized.

A digital currency is not always a cryptocurrency. Crypto currencies are always digital currencies.

What is PoW?

A POW (proof of work) is a piece of data which was difficult (costly, time-consuming) to produce so as to satisfy certain requirements. It must be trivial to check whether data satisfies said requirements. Producing a proof of work can be a random process with low probability, so that a lot of trial and error is required on average before a valid proof of work is generated. Bitcoin uses the hashcash proof of work.

What is PoS?

Proof-of-stake (PoS) is a method by which a cryptocurrency blockchain network aims to achieve distributed consensus. While the proof-of-work (PoW) method asks users to repeatedly run hashing algorithms or other client puzzles, to validate electronic transactions, proof-of-stake asks users to prove ownership of a certain amount of currency (their "stake" in the currency). Peercoin was the first cryptocurrency to launch using proof-of-Stake. Other prominent implementations are found in BitShares, Nxt, BlackCoin, NuShares/NuBits and Qora. Ethereum has planned a hard fork transition from PoW to PoS consensus. Decred hybridizes PoW with PoS and combines elements of both in an attempt to garner the benefits of the two systems and create a more robust notion of consensus.

What is a Blockhain?

A blockchain is a data structure that makes it possible to create a digital ledger of transactions and share it among a distributed network of computers. It uses cryptography to allow each participant on the network to manipulate the ledger in a secure way without the need for a central authority.

What is Real Estate Crowdfunding?

Real estate crowdfunding is the online pooling of capital from investors to fund mortgages secure by real estate, such as "fix and flip" redevelopment of distressed or abandoned properties, and equity for commercial and residential projects, acquisition of pools of distressed mortgages, home buyer down payments and similar real estate related outlets.
